My research is looking at the governance of Aboriginal savanna burning carbon abatement projects, and how the benefits from this emerging industry are maximised by various groups across northern Australia.
I am doing interviews with people involved in the savanna burning industry in North Queensland, Northern Territory and the Kimberley. We talk about their experience of the decision making structures that influence savanna burning projects, and what has helped or hindered the projects to provide benefits to people and their Country.
